As a dedicated petrolhead, being surrounded by cars, motorcycles and people with a shared passion for them is my happy place.
Whether you’re looking for somebody to provide professional photos of your automotive event, images to help with a car sale or to showcase a product, let’s talk ideas.
Photos from around the beautiful Isle of Skye
This was about as tasty as it gets for photography briefs. Chefs Tim and Ru asked me to capture the essence of what they get up to in the busy kitchen of The Dunvegan, located in the north west of the Isle of Skye.
Specialising in cooking locally sourced and sustainable produce over fire, the shoot was a pleasure to do with so much going on - a real feast for the eyes as well as the aromas and flavours.
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer on the Isle of Skye, or wider Western Scotland areas, to capture the wonderful informal interactions that take place when friends and families come together to help you make your union something truly special, then I would love to talk to you about how we can do just that. Who doesn’t love a good wedding bash?
While I’m very happy to also cover those family and friend group photos, I much prefer an alternative informal approach to capturing your wedding day in photos. For me, your album (digital or printed also available) should bring together all those wonderful, often intimate interactions that occur throughout the day.
Offering an affordable approach to your wedding photography, let’s meet up to chat about making something special to help you remember your wedding day in style.
If you’re looking for a Leeds-based photographer to showcase the hard work that you’ve put in to the design of your workplace, your retail or catering space, or to show your products or team at their best, let’s talk.
I’m a versatile photographer who’s worked in the design, digital marketing and content creation industry for longer than I may care to admit. Along with my experience in photographing a wide range of topics and visual styles, this all helps to successfully tell your story visually across your comms and social media channels.
'Beads' is a local artist and craftsman living an off-grid life on the Isle of Skye under the mantle of Chapel Croft Creatures. Producing all manner of wonderful creations from items washed up on the beach at the bottom of his croft, and from locally sourced timber, Beads also keeps bees to produce the beeswax with which he treats the items skilfully produced in his workshop (which are delivered in person by bicycle).
Having built his house from the ground up by himself, he's a fountain of knowledge and many a tale.
We could all learn a thing or two from living life this way!
The Black Shed is a beautiful self-catering accommodation for two in Skinidin, Isle of Skye.
Contemporary design and tucked out of the way near the foot of the famous Macleod's Table it combines incredible views with attention to detail.
Regardless of the style of image that you’re looking for in your portraits or headshots, feeling relaxed about having them taken in essential, so whether shooting in studio or on location, establishing a comfortable working relationship is always a priority.
Here you’ll find just a small selection of photos taken in and around the Yorkshire area showing the faces of some of the lovely people I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
As a streetphotographer I find that Leeds Pride makes for a fantastic event to document, with thousands of people flooding the City Centre in party mode to celebrate diversity and inclusion.
It’s a visual treat with participants and spectators alike very much up for having their photos taken, which is fantastic but what I really enjoy is trying to capture those story-telling moments that are so easily overlooked with so much going on.
The event grows from strength to strength year on year and is one of the highlights in the City’s events calendar for me.
A selection of editorial fashion and lifestyle shoots in and around the Leeds area, taken for a number of retail clients and designers looking to highlight creative design and product quality.
I’ve always enjoyed people watching and my Leeds street photography is an extension of that. The City is constantly changing, full of interesting characters and scenarios. Trying to anticipate and document a single, fleeting moment on the fly is can be challenging and that’s the fun - along with meeting many people that I might not otherwise.
With such a diverse demographic living and moving through Leeds, it’s a wonderful place to experience life through a lens.
While street photography is very much the hobby side of my photography, it equips me very well for wedding and event photography.
Celebrating some of the wonderful people, events and places around the street of Leeds in colour. With such a vibrant community moving in and around the City there are so many moments that go unnoticed - I love trying to anticipate and capture those impromptu moments as they occur.
While street photography is my hobby, it has helped me hugely in preparing to capture those unexpected, candid moments during events and weddings.
There’s nothing I enjoy photographing more than people, and if it’s people having a good time - even better. So whether it’s a works party, a business conference or a private function that you’d like shooting, let’s talk.
In April 2018 a group of local artists brought noise and movement back to Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mill.
Using original industrial machinery, old methods, and new ideas to recapture the atmosphere of the Mill through visual art, ink, moving image and music.
I was asked to photograph the artists, their work and the electronic music performances throughout this wonderful event.
